Raise your hand if you anxiously await Thanksgiving each and every year, if you dream of turkey and stuffing and pumpkin pie and making lunch with leftovers the day after the holiday, if you love spending the day with family and friends, rooting on your favorite football team, and savoring these special holiday moments…

Although the holiday season may look a bit different this year due to the new norm of social distancing, that doesn’t mean we can’t still celebrate!

If slaving away in the kitchen to make a big Thanksgiving meal doesn’t sound all that thrilling to you, or you feel like spending the holiday doing something a little different this year, don’t worry — you have plenty of options! Many local restaurants are offering special menus and other Turkey Day treats to consider when making your Thanksgiving plans.

Whether you decide to go out, or order take-out or delivery, here are some great local options for your 2020 Thanksgiving festivities. And remember — stay safe, wear a mask and practice social distancing while out in public.

BURT & MAX’S

Burt & Max’s will be open from 4-8 pm, offering happy hour drink pricing at the bar with the purchase of any entree. A la carte Thanksgiving specials will be available in addition to select items from the regular menu. Specials include butternut squash bisque and kale chopped salad, as well as a traditional Thanksgiving entree featuring rosemary-dijon roasted turkey with all the fixins’, and a Florida-style Thanksgiving dinner with local yellowtail snapper, crab beurre blanc, white sweet potato, citrus zoodles, and mango-avocado salsa.

CUT432

Cut 432 will offer a three-course prix fixe menu for $59 per person on Thanksgiving Day. Diners have a choice of butternut squash soup or mixed salad for the first course, followed by an entree of organic roasted turkey with baby winter vegetables, sausage and sage stuffing, and a choice of maple sweet potato puree, buttermilk mashed potatoes, or white cheddar cauliflower gratin. Dessert options include golden raisin cranberry bread pudding, brownie a la mode, and pumpkin pie. The regular menu will also be available.

DECK 84

Deck 84 will be open from 12-7 pm, offering happy hour drink pricing at the bar all day with the purchase of an entree. A la carte Thanksgiving specials will be available, in addition to the full regular menu. Specials include butternut squash bisque, heirloom tomato salad, a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, a “Floribbean” Thanksgiving dinner featuring local blackened grouper, and pumpkin mousse. Pair your dinner with the holiday cocktail special, an apple-cinnamon mule made with Fireball whiskey and apple schnapps.

FARMER’S TABLE

Farmer’s Table will have both dine-in and take-out offerings. The Thanksgiving Take-Out menu includes all the traditional dinner items, with options for those with gluten-free and vegan diets. The deadline to order is Friday, November 20th and pick-up is on Thursday, November 26th by 2pm.

Also on Thanksgiving Day, a three-course dinner will be available all day from 11am-8pm. for $59.95 per adult and $29.50 per child age 10 and under. The menu includes a fresh baked artisan bread basket, soup or salad, and a choice of entree and dessert. There will be holiday cocktail specials, and kids’ menu options are available upon request.

JOHNNIE BROWNS

Johnnie Browns will be celebrating in true Johnnie Brown’s form — with lots of live music. Enjoy jams from The Flyers on Wednesday, November 25th from 8pm-12am, along with $5 whiskey cocktails and $1 wings all night, and Spider Cherry will take the stage on Thursday, November 26th from 8pm-12am. A turkey burger special will be available on Wednesday and Thursday, complete with stuffing, cranberry sauce, and arugula.

Guests are encouraged to contribute to the Toys for Tots Drive, running from November 25th through December 20th. Those who donate a toy will receive a complimentary cocktail, glass of wine, or draft beer.

LIONFISH

Lionfish will have a Turkey Dinner special available on Wednesday and Thursday, November 25th and 26th, featuring a turkey breast platter with mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, jalapeño-cheddar cornbread stuffing, and cranberry sauce for $42.

In addition to the dinner special, Lionfish invites guests to bring a toy to donate to their Toys for Tots Drive, running from November 25th through December 20th. In return, all guests who bring a toy will receive a complimentary domestic draft or glass of champagne.

MAX’S GRILLE

Max’s Grille will be open from 3-8:30pm., offering a la carte Thanksgiving specials in addition to the full regular menu. Specials include butternut squash bisque, kale salad, traditional turkey dinner, and a “Floribbean” Thanksgiving featuring shrimp-crusted Florida grouper. The dessert special will be a pumpkin cheesecake with OREO crumb crust, cinnamon whipped cream and caramel sauce.

PARK TAVERN

Park Tavern will stay open until 2am on Thanksgiving Eve, offering drink specials all night. On Thanksgiving Day, doors open at 2 p.m. with football playing all day and a Thanksgiving dinner special will be available, featuring roasted free range turkey, cornbread stuffing, buttermilk mashed potatoes, bourbon gravy, and a cranberry-orange jam, for just $29.

PREZZO

Prezzo will be open from 3-8:30pm. A la carte Thanksgiving specials will be available, including a butternut squash bisque, citrus and herb-roasted turkey with with all the trimmings, pecan-crusted sea bass, and a pumpkin spice cheesecake. The full regular menu will also be available, as well as family-style to-go packages. The to-go order deadline is Sunday, November 22nd at 4pm. Pickup will be available on Thanksgiving Day between 1-4pm only. Note that there will not be happy hour specials on Thanksgiving Day.

PRIME CATCH

Prime Catch is offering a holiday menu on Thanksgiving Day from 11:30am-9:30pm, featuring a variety of soups, appetizer, entrees, including a traditional roasted turkey with all the trimmings, fresh seafood specials, pumpkin pie, and more.

Taru at Sundy House

Taru at the historic Sundy House will offer a Thanksgiving “buffet” on Thanksgiving Day from 11am-7pm for $75 per person and half-price for children under 12. Although the menu is buffet-style, servers will bring the food to you at your table. Menu items include a raw bar, cheese and charcuterie, artisan breads, beet and kale salad, turkey, ham, dijon-crusted salmon, prime rib, a classic and a sausage-cornbread stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, candied yams and marshmallows, cranberry sauce, maple-glazed carrots and Brussels sprouts, pumpkin and pecan pies, and brownie ala mode. Prosecco, house wine, beer, soft drinks, and coffee are included in the price. Cocktails will also be available for purchase.

TooJay’s

TooJay’s has brought back its fall seasonal fan-favorite menu for a limited time, which includes three Thanksgiving-worthy items. The Turkey Cranberry Grille, which is basically Thanksgiving dinner in the form of a sandwich, is available through December 27th. For dessert, the Pumpkin Spice Cake, topped with maple-vanilla bean buttercream and Heath Bar toffee bits garnish, and Pumpkin Cheesecake are both available by the slice or as a whole cake through November 29th.

TWO FAT COOKIES

Two Fat Cookies has an assortment of sweet and savory items available to pre-order for pick-up on Thanksgiving Day. The ‘Fat Feast’ is available for two or four, and includes turkey breast, gravy, sweet potato casserole with marshmallows, green bean casserole, stuffing, and cranberry relish. The Sweets menu includes a variety of pies and layer cakes, cookie dough shots, and Turkey themed cookie pies and cookie decorating kits. The order deadline is Thursday, November 19th.
